Join a thriving community of over 2,000 passionate members across seven clubs. At GCHA, we’re more than just a hockey association; we’re a vibrant family spanning generations, with players and volunteers of all ages coming together to share their love for the game.
With a rich heritage, our journey began in 1959 with the formation of the first Men’s Club teams, followed by the inaugural Women’s Club teams in 1960. Starting in the Tweed District at Murwillumbah, we established the Gold Coast Association in 1965, marking the genesis of our storied legacy.
In June 2017, the Gold Coast Hockey Centre underwent a ground-breaking $16.5 million dollar redevelopment, transforming it into the modern hub for elite training, and top-tier competitions, and community engagement. Featuring two state-of-the-art, internationally certified all-weather synthetic hockey pitches aligned north and south, enhanced clubhouse amenities, expanded parking, and surrounding parklands, this redevelopment has opened doors to future training camps and major competitions.
