The Gold Coast Hockey Association: Igniting Passion, Embracing Legacy!

At the heart of the Gold Coast’s hockey scene, GCHA stands tall as the primary force driving, promoting, and nurturing hockey’s growth. Our association boasts a diverse community of over 2,000 members, including passionate players and dedicated volunteers, spanning a remarkable age range from 5 to over 70 years

Be part of our legacy

With a rich heritage, our journey began in 1959 with the formation of the first Men’s Club teams, followed by the inaugural Women’s Club teams in 1960.  Starting in the Tweed District at Murwillumbah, we established the Gold Coast Association in 1965, marking the genesis of our storied legacy.

In June 2017, the Gold Coast Hockey Centre underwent a ground-breaking $16.5 million dollar redevelopment, transforming it into the modern hub for elite training, and top-tier competitions, and community engagement.  Featuring two state-of-the-art, internationally certified all-weather synthetic hockey pitches aligned north and south, enhanced clubhouse amenities, expanded parking, and surrounding parklands, this redevelopment has opened doors to future training camps and major competitions.

Whether you’re stepping onto the field for the first time or bringing three decades of experience, GCHA welcome you.  Our diverse age groups and competition divisions cater to every skill level, ensuring there’s a place for everyone in our hockey family.

Join us at Gold Coast Hockey Association and be part of our legacy while creating your own hockey story.  Embrace the passion, ignite the spirit, and experience the thrill of hockey with us!
