The “Songs and Backtracks” folder has 419 midi backtracks and 1065 song files with chords, written out in Microsoft Word format. All the backtracks are also in the song files, so you can go and see which ones are familiar to you.
We suggest that you install “Van Basco’s Karaoke Player”. It allows you to play the midi backtracks in any key, change the speed, and mute any channel. Great to practice with! Simply click on the “vkaraoke” icon in the accompanying folder. This one works, but’s it’s shareware online (free to download). You might want to download the latest version.

Unlike the other courses, The Introduction to Guitar has no lessons. It has been designed for students who download lessons individually. It contains tips on buying a guitar, an audio tuner for standard tuning, basic music theory for beginners, an interactive chord accompaniment guide to help the student find the chords to songs, and information on guitar accessories. Like the other course folders, it contains a red “OPEN INTRODUCTION” file which activates the program.

Like the “Introduction” folder, the Chordbook folder it contains a red “OPEN CHORDBOOK” file which activates the program. The chords in this program have been presented in the order in which they should be learnt and are fully interactive. Pointing at a chord with your curser will show the chord shape, and clicking on it plays the chord.
